|
age
33 and only about one years experience in doing weddings.
|
43, I have always liked electronics and started in video in 1987. I didnt do anything with my video abilities until two years ago, made a instructional dvd, sold about 800 copies so far.
|
31. Getting back into DV.
|
23...new to the game but eager to learn.
|
24...picked up and started using a video camera for the first time a year and half ago- an HD100, and fell in love.
|
Keeping it varied at 16. I've been intensely into video since I was 14, and I got lucky enough to have had several great national opportunities to shoot and learn with some great people.

Kids I'm 67, started in the biz when I was 17.
At that age in radio we recorded the city football match on a wire recorder and edited it in the back of the van with a cigarette, racing back to the studio for b/c. I was the assistant on the first commercial stereo recordings in Australia. We made an FX demo tape around Sydney for the ROLA company. They set up a theatre for playback in the David Jones Market St. city store hoping to sell their reel to reel 15IPS playback machines to the public. We made stereo eps of radio dramas with white tape on the studio floor for the actors. At 2UE in 64 I helped the news guys out by doing shifts in the cruisers. We spent 3 days stationed outside the Beatles hotel when they were here. I looked like sh*t at their reception, Harrison showed me an Indian eye exercise and here it is... Hold your head very steady for this, eyes open glance hard left, count 2-3-4. Glance hard right, count 2-3-4. Glance up, count, down count. Do this every 15mins when in long sessions. I ran my own outfit for 30 years, now making commercial airplane vids, the A1 rocks. Stay healthy do unto others....and good luck. Cheers. |

Hi All,
I am 69 today! Still in pretty good shape and hoping to embark on some nature documentary projects. Alan |
59 in early March.
Everything still works! |
I'm 57...left CBS and started my business 25 years ago. That's the same age as my assistant! Go figure?
I was a beta tester for the Toaster...the kind that makes video not burnt bread and did many of the graphic images and animations that Amiga used to market their computers. You know back when IRE was a video term and not what you get when you piss someone off! Best, Craig |
whos the youngest?
Im 20 but curious to see who the youngest and oldest members of this group are?
|
61 ready for fun
|
I was involved in video productions since I was 16 and I recently turned 27 last month which is a bit sad knowing that it’ll only be 3 years until I reach 30.
|
I'm 26 and I'll be 27 this year and a couple short months after that a father :).
I got started in still photo at 12 and quickly realized my severe passion for it ( mostly nature/scenic ), Got into video 5 years ago, and have been making the transition from the static to the dynamic, as well as learning to edit and so on. I'm usually working on short deadlines for clients ( talking heads etc... for the majority ) but would like to make a few short doc's about some of the small towns in the State of North Dakota and put them together in a combination of stories from all over the state. Among a WIDE variety of other desires. Dave |
im 17
18 on the 25th |
60 and still hanging off the side of motorcycles shooting for a local Biker TV show I helped my friend start 13 years ago. I'll give up my cam when they pry my cold dead fingers from it! ...Or until I can't remember where I put the darn thing.
Remember - today's a promise tomorrow's a lie |
Abraham Lincoln once said, "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." I am a very lively 63 and embarking on a new career as a Videographer.
Is anyone calculating an average age for these postings? |
Young and still learning
I am 63, love my relatively new XH-A1 Canon.
|
17,
and I've been making digital films and animations since I was six. Yeah for real. I just recently bought a GL-2 (with in the last year) and I will be going to school in the next year and a half for my degree in digital cinema production. |
I'm 18 with 25 years of experience. or 43 in human years.
Life is GREAT! |
That would be 59
28 on the inside
|
Just turned 27, and am anxious to learn a lot more from this community.
|
.......................... 52
|
I am 46 and also enjoy my Canon XH-A1 and my new HV-30

Going on 63 (and retired). I am now officially allowed to call you youngsters a "whippersnapper"!
|
Adding to the list: 21 for a little while longer
I have no room to complain, but I definitely think 21 came much too fast. |
I am older than dirt.
Go ahead and look it up in the dictionary. Under "Dirt" it has my picture and says "Not as old as..." |
I'm only 54 now. I need new knees and new kidneys and my cat has written me off.
