CineMoco™ Delivers Motor Controlled Sliding Video

The modular CineMoco system delivers camera moves ranging
from dolly shots to motor controlled timelapse photography.

Austin, TX – Sep. 05, 2012 — Cinetics, the makers of CineSkates, has launched CineMoco. Short for Cinetics Motor Control, CineMoco is a compact and powerful robot designed to drive a camera. The system takes video beyond what the eye can see with extreme precision for timelapse photography and smooth motion for video.

Cinetics first product, CineSkates was launched as a Kickstarter campaign in 2011. Filmmakers rallied around the idea, and CineSkates was able to exceed the project funding goal by 2400%. Ever since, the company has been listening to backers while researching and field testing new camera gear technology to respond to the many requests for a motorized version. Now, one year later, Cinetics is returning to its roots by launching CineMoco on Kickstarter.

Cinetics’ modular CineMoco system includes several new products:

  • SkatePlate Dolly – a collapsible camera dolly with a smooth CineSkates roll
  • SkateTrack Slider – a compact camera dolly and track slider for rolling on any terrain
  • CineMoco – robotic motor control for SkatePlate Dolly and SkateTrack Slider

CineMoco can be purchased as a complete CineMoco Slider or broken down into its individual components based on the filmmaker’s needs and previously purchased products. Cinetics is also introducing SmartMount, a universal tripod mount for camera phones or tablets that works well with all of their products.

CineMoco Slider is available to preorder through Kickstarter at CineMoco for a limited time at the industry leading price of $795. The first 100 orders will receive early shipping with an estimated October delivery date. What’s next for Cinetics? “The sky’s the limit!” says Founder, Justin Jensen. “This was our number one most requested product, and we are excited to continue building what filmmakers want!” For more information about CineMoco, please visit the company website at cinetics.com.
