I didn't realise it was so easy, you Sir are correct. Both times, right quote and yes Pink Floyd are (one of?) the greatest band(s?) of all time.

Sean Skube February 13th, 2008 11:19 AM

your go Mark.

I can't think of the name yet, and its just a shot in the dark, but I'm thinking it was that cop/buddy quasi horror/comedy/action flick with Joe Piscopo and Treat Williams. The name of the film will come to me later, but when I think of it, I'm guessing that one.

Sean Skube February 17th, 2008 12:07 PM

Jonathan, the movie you're thinking of is Dead Heat. Classic cheeseball movie.

Mark Bournes February 19th, 2008 01:26 PM

Not even close, hint time, I'm sticking with the "music" theme, a made for tv movie.

Good Luck

Thanks Sean, I could picture the old VHS box cover, but I just couldn't think of the name.

Bummer that the guess was wrong after all though.

OK here's another hint...sticking with the 70's rock band movies.

Kiss meets the Phantom of the Park

Mark Bournes February 20th, 2008 10:59 AM

finally... probably one of the worst rock band movies ever made.

Sean Skube February 26th, 2008 04:12 PM

that makes it your turn Jonathan

Yeah, that was a tough one cuz I hadn't seen that probably since I was in jr. high. I only guessed it due to your last clue. Generally, made-for-tv movies are of limited appeal in quote rounds due to their generally limited market play. They often impose to many restrictions on an audience who may have potential exposure to that movie.

In either case, Kiss meets the Phantom of the Park was probably never destined for any cinema hall of fame - let alone any potential theatrical playability.....but it was awesome for you to bring it up. I haven't thought of it in YEARS but I will always remember with great laughter Gene's role as "the Demon" as he would slink around hunched over taking careful Elmer Fudd footsteps in his fangboots, sticking his tongue in and out like a lizard. I even seem to recall one sequence of shots that showed his character as some type of gigantic glamrock monster towering over the park...but maybe that was my mixing up the movie over many years. I can't even remember the plot. Awesome. Now I want to see it again.

I've been battling a flu the last several days and am now trying to muster the capacity of thought. I'll have a quote in a short while.
-J.

Jonathan Jones February 29th, 2008 01:25 PM

here's a quote from one of the all time campiest

Okay, so in trying to come up with a good quote while online, I was following some link articles this morning and happened upon a clip from a movie I saw several years ago. One of the campiest of all time.

This one might be pretty easy to guess:

Quote is as follows:

"Okay. Clowns. Cotton Candy. Flying Popcorn. Go ahead. Let 'em make fools out of the police department."

go.

Yep, I didn't think that one was going to take very long. Good job. Your turn.

Kelly Goden February 29th, 2008 04:30 PM

"Oh they think I'm a dummy but I aint. I'm gonna get my trucker's license one day."

Kelly Goden March 2nd, 2008 12:52 AM

No guesses?

"What do you think Earl?"

"What i think is we've been lied to. He's no Goddamn donut king."

Kelly Goden March 3rd, 2008 02:00 PM

"About a minute ago Billy here called in an accident on the I-40 connector....See? There he goes. Its going to take about 20 minutes for that cracker to get out to the connector and another ten minutes to see there's no accident and another 20 minutes to get back in. That's 50 minutes. That's exactly how much time you have to get me my money."

Kelly Goden March 4th, 2008 10:55 PM

And another(I am running out of them) (sorry for the f--- its hard to think of another line that might give a hint:

"My wife is locked up in a hole in your f--- barn, and if you dont give me the key, I'm going to blow your f--- head off!"

Sean Skube March 6th, 2008 02:22 PM

I wish I'd been here sooner. I would have had it at Donut King! It's Breakdown, starring the one and only Snake Pliskin. :)

Jonathan Jones March 6th, 2008 05:05 PM

Oh MAN !!!! I knew I'd seen the movie from which those quotes were taken, but I've been thinking about it for a while and ......nuthin'.

Glad ya guessed it - it befuddled me.
-Jon

Mike Teutsch March 6th, 2008 05:25 PM

Maybe "Breakdown" from 1997 with Kurt Russell?

Mike

Kelly Goden March 6th, 2008 08:46 PM

Finally and right on the first guess!!! I was going crazy wondering why no one was even guessing. :)

Mike Teutsch March 7th, 2008 07:12 AM

Great! I'll give you an easy one.

Question: "Are you classified as human?" Answer: "No, I'm a meat popsicle."

Mike

Kelly Goden March 7th, 2008 12:29 PM

It sounds familiar but I cant even guess.

BTW
I think Sean was the first to get it but if he doesnt mind I dont.
:)

Mike Teutsch March 7th, 2008 12:52 PM

Missed that, you're right!

Josh Chesarek March 7th, 2008 07:05 PM

Mike Teutsch March 8th, 2008 12:27 AM

Way to go Josh! The Fifth Element it is.

Mike

Josh Chesarek March 8th, 2008 07:14 AM

Just watched this, should be fairly easy I think.

1: Well, are we stopped?
2: We're stopped, sir.
1: Good. Well, why don't we take a five minute break.

Casey Krugman March 9th, 2008 12:43 PM

Spaceballs!!!!

Oh Sh*t... There goes the planet...

This next one I almost hate to admit to have seen...

1: I just think the president lies to much sir...
2: Every president lies! That is their JOB! The last president to tell the truth was Harry S. Truman who said "The Buck Stops Here!"

Very good sir!

Sean Skube March 10th, 2008 10:20 AM

Is it Dave?

Casey Krugman March 10th, 2008 08:26 PM

nope

not even close

Sean Skube March 11th, 2008 08:27 AM

I just looked it up. I almost watched this movie last night, but opted for The Hitcher remake. Doesn't really matter, cause I turned that off after about 10 minutes, cause it was already bad by then, and I love the original. Didn't want it tainted. I just popped in Hot Fuzz instead and had a pleasant evening.
I won't give away the answer, but I'm sorry you had to watch that.

Casey Krugman March 11th, 2008 12:34 PM

The original...

You mean the remake or the original orignal? I liked the remake. the director is good in his own element.

original original? I mean the 1986 one with C Thomas Howell and Rutger Hauer. Unless that was a remake of something. I checked imdb and didn't see any previous ones.
As for your clue, you might want to give another quote. You picked a tough one, because most people probably passed on it.
