Kelly - I would also suggest the Canon 135mm 2.0. On the 7D, its reach is equivalent to 216mm and faster than the 70-200. We shoot a lot of weddings and end up using the 135mm a lot during ceremonies...

You may also want to test out the 501HDV Bogen head. A bit cheaper than the 503HDV but we've had a decent experience with them using 5D+7Ds while panning for speeches and dances.

You are not compressing the video - In fact, ProRes is decompressing it (not sure if that's the correct term). And yes, transcoding to ProRes will make your file sizes considerably larger.

I just loaded up on 32GB Kingston Elites 133x from B&H. I also have a dozen other Elite 133x's and never had a problem with them. They also transfer pretty quick when used with a decent card reader.
