Thanks:)

I've received quiet a few queries by email already. Thanks to everyone who wrote.

To reiterate, I would really want to dispose of the items as a lot.

Now, We need the help of the staff.

I am excited about this purchase (my first) and I hope for Armando. What is the best way for us to handle the transaction. We don't know each other. We have both talked about it but are not sure how to handle it. Third party?

Suggestions?
Please?

Paul Moore October 15th, 2003 10:37 PM

Armando Frasco October 15th, 2003 11:40 PM

I still have original packaging and included accessories for the GL2. I repeat, I am taking offers. So please feel free to call me @ 312-399-5298 with any questions.

Bryan Mitchell October 17th, 2003 02:11 PM

its not an xl1-S but thats still way too cheap.

Rob Jacobs October 18th, 2003 11:21 AM

Hey Brian:
How much do you suggest I sell it for? The camera is in good shape. Do you think I should ask more? Because it wouldn't hurt my feelings to get a little more for it.

Bryan Mitchell October 18th, 2003 06:37 PM

Well for a kata rain cover, and an XL1 that works, I would think that the price should be closer to $2600. I just payed $3600 for my xl1s a week ago, so I can't imagine an XL1 in usable condition would go for only 1900 unless there was a catch.

G. Lee Gordon October 19th, 2003 12:30 AM

What's your asking price?

G. Lee Gordon October 19th, 2003 12:43 AM

Hollywood Lite G.T. Stabilizer

Alright, this if for serious video folk only. For those who are already pro's or want to make the jump to pro level equipment I am offering an awesome deal. I have a Hollywood Lite G.T. Stabilizer System for sale. I have to call it used, but it has never been used. It's still in the bubble wrap! The only thing that was opened was the demo video. The asking price for the stabilizer at B & H is $3,199.95. I am open to all serious offers!

All standard items are included:

-Stage, Post, Gimbal, Sled, 5.0 inch LCD monitor, Articulated arm, The support vest and the expandable battery mount. I would rate the condition of this item a 10+, Mint condition.

I prefer Paypal (registered users only please). The first reasonable offer gets it!!! I am offering it to my fellow DVinfo net friends for a few days before I sell it on eBay. To check it out for yourself, go to B&H's websight and type in Hollywood Lite in the search. A chance like this doesn't happen often so you better hurry and contact me!!!

Dylan Couper October 19th, 2003 12:28 PM

I'm amazed you haven't sold it yet for $1900.
Prices for an XL1 seem to be floating around $2200-$2500 depending on usage, over the internet. I could probably sell an XL1 in good shape localy for $3000us.

Vincent DeBartoloneis October 19th, 2003 04:39 PM

that is cheap

But if its one of the early ones that had some flaky issues..............
I have a buddy with an XL1S and it is a little flaky sometimes but good pictures. Am a pd150 man myself

G. Lee Gordon October 19th, 2003 06:16 PM

Max Mishler October 20th, 2003 07:50 AM

GL-2 Package For Sale

I had this package for sale earlier but the price is now a lot lower!

Canon GL2
Libec M20 Tripod
Kata CCC-102 Case
Studio 1 XLR-BP Pro
Power 2000 BP-945 extra battery
B+W 58mm UV filter

Everything for 2300.00. Everything is absolutely "like new"
I only used the camera for one wedding. Less than 10 hours on the camera and equipment. The only reason I'm selling is I'm making a major move back out west so I'm needing to downsize my life for a while. If you're interested please e-mail me at mishler@sccoast.net or mmishler@cgp.net

I will also consider offers on just the camera.

Brian Lang October 20th, 2003 10:40 AM

Dylan Couper October 20th, 2003 02:49 PM

I still need to calculate the total amount that I spent on the stuff. Once I calculate it all and factor in depreciation and used value of the goods... I'll post it up. But for now, I'm open to realistic offers.

Once I get the a ball-park of what I want.... I will also put it on Ebay. But for now... The DVi Community has first dibs.

GT? rig

G., is the model a GTX or GTS and why are you selling the rig. Did that crappy demo and setup video scare you that bad?

G. Lee Gordon October 21st, 2003 10:41 AM

I believe there are three models, the GT, the GTS and the GTX. I have the GT model.
I haven't even looked at the video yet. I happened to pick up the Stabilizer with some other equipment that I purchased. This guy had purchased all of this equipment to film a movie that never got made. It has just been sitting in his closet!

Armando Frasco October 21st, 2003 12:34 PM

Deal Closed

I received the very prompt payment for my GL2 package today from Barry Gilbert. We opted not to use a third party and it worked for our case. Thanks DVI Info Net! I'll keep my membership even if I'm back into still photography and will highly recommend this site to my friends and colleagues.

Still selling that PD150?

Sorry, hope this is not eons late. I was just trolling thru and saw your post.

I have a DVX100 and wouldn't mind a trade. The DVX100 is a great camera but I like the picture and simplicity of the PD150.

I haven't used it that much. I just finished a movie that was shot before I got the DVX so about the only thing I've used it for is to record voiceovers.

I live in NYC. If you're interested give me a mail.

Wtb: Vx1000

I am trying to find a Sony VX1000, good working condition, under $1100 CND, if possible within Canada. No need for any accessories, it will be in a underwater housing for all of its life.

Ryan Krga October 23rd, 2003 11:58 PM

I have a VX1000 with a broken ribbon cable that I'm willing to let go for around $800 USD. The ribbon cable is around $150 USD to repair, but I don't have the time or money to send it out. Email me at ryankrga773@hotmail.com if interested.

Still for Sale

Sorry to take so long to reply. I've been shooting fall colors in the Eastern Sierra. The XL-1 is still for sale. I haven't done anything about selling it since before I left for Alaska. I did discover in AK, however, that the Anton Bauer battery set up is useful for my new Frezzilight. So that is no longer for sale, but everything else still is. Minus the A-B battery set-up, the package is now $2830. I haven't updated the webpage to remove the A-B battery, though, in case you surf over to the above site for a look.
