Private Classifieds listings from 2006

The school I teach at has several Gitzo video tripods for sale. The head is a model G1380. The legs are 3 sections, aluminum and have spiked tips, with caps, 75mm bowl. I can't make an exact identification of the legs, but proably the G1338. B&H sells just the head for $850 and the kit for $1350, and heads are on ebay for $700 to $750.

I have three for sale at this time, but are subject to pior sale. These were acquired (I don't know if they were donated or given by a business etc.) by the school over the summer. Two look brand new, one has a few marks. We use XL1's that are loaded and we are pushing the limits of the units. I don't want the students to tear these up, so we are purchasing larger units.

The school was hoping for $1,200 each, but I have set a more realistic price of $800 to $900 depending on payment method and shipping etc.

Curt Kay September 10th, 2003 12:35 PM

Roze Ann September 10th, 2003 01:16 PM

Hey Max...I'm interested in your zoom remote. How much for that? Please email me: fatcatmedia@yahoo.com THANKS!

Dylan Couper September 10th, 2003 04:31 PM

Jeff, I think the 1338 legs are carbon fibre.

Curt Kay September 10th, 2003 06:37 PM

My starting offer is 50 for the BP-945 battery if its in a good to new condition. We can definetely haggle for this, I'm just putting a starting offer like you requested.

Jeff Donald September 10th, 2003 08:46 PM

You are correct, sir. I think maybe G1340 is more accurate, but again I'm not entirely sure. I've not been able to 100% identify the exact model from just pictures and we have no paperwork with the tripods.

Max Mishler September 10th, 2003 10:48 PM

I should have updated this listing earlier but I have decided that the only two things I would like to keep with the camera are the extra battery and the Kata bag. Everything is still for sale but I want to package the camera, bp-945 and bag together. As long as I have the GL-2 in my possession I feel like the battery and case are definitely needed. Sorry for any confusion.

Max

Curt Kay September 11th, 2003 10:47 AM

damn... D:

William Velasquez September 11th, 2003 11:37 AM

Max,

I already own a GL1 and a GL2 and would love to get a third camera.

What's your asking price for the GL2 with battery and Kata bag?

Please consider the following:

If I end up buying the GL2 from you I wouldn't need the extra battery and Kata bag. I have hard cases and four BP945 batteries already.
I think you would have no problem selling these items by themselves since there are many GL owners in the forum who already have asked to buy the items seperately.

Anyway, either way let me know what's your asking price.

Max Mishler September 11th, 2003 01:03 PM

William,

You should have received an e-mail from me already. I'm trying to abstain from conducting the actual transactions via the message board so as to keep the thread relatively simple to follow. (not as easy as I thought...lol) If you haven't already received my e-mail (maybe you're using a different one now than the one you have listed with dvinfo.net) please e-mail me at either mishler@sccoast.net or mmishler@cgp.net. Thanks for your interest!

Max

WTB Lowend digital camcorder, ~$200...

Anyone have any lowend minidv camcorders for sale, around or under $200? As long as it works, and if it has a mic input, thats another plus. I realized I need another camera if i'm going to do a talk show style public access show, it would be a PITA to try to shoot that single camera.

Thanks.

Jed Williamson September 12th, 2003 12:39 PM

Amazon has Sharp VLNZ55U for 268.88 after rebate.
That probably is the lowest price on any brand new mini dv camcorder.

Seinnheiser ME67 shotgun New

$185 NEW capsule only, see below for power supply

The Seinnheiser ME66 and ME67 shotgun mikes are the industry standards for broadcast and film applications for shotgun mikes under $1000. These are the best and most accurate mikes you can get for your projects in this class, period.

See:http://www.ggvideo.com/senn_mic.htm for specs.

The ME66 has a slightly broader pattern- more of a cardoid, where as the ME67 has a slightly more narrow pattern of pickup for situations where you prefer to eliminate interference sounds from outside your focal area- such as on the street or noisy environments. The 67 is used when the mike needs to be a longer distance from your subject. The ME 66 and ME67 however have the same frequency characteristics, and in many instances are totally interchangable- they are really the same mike with merely a different barrel that accoustically changes the pickup pattern slightly.

Lobar pick-up pattern
Highly directional
Low inherent self-noise
High sensitivity factor Wide frequency response

Frequency response 40 - 20,000 Hz +/- 2.5 dB

I have a spare ME67 capsule for sale- so you'll need the power supply K6P if you don't have one, (which you may have if you have the ME66K6 setup already). The power supply is the same/compatible/interchangable between the ME66 and ME67 See the above link for K6P as well info.

The actual discounted street price for the capsule is $280+. This unit was never used, and I am asking $185 and includes free foam windscreen (list $30) and shipping.

An excellent choice if you want the best shotgun narrow pattern mike, or a second addition to your mikes.

Visa, Mastercard, Discover, paypal accepted as I am a nationally know publisher.

Need Promist Filter and shotgun mike in Singapore

Hi,
Wondering, does anyone can help me by advising me where I could get 58mm promist or ultra-con filters and a shotgun mike for Canon XM 2? I seems to enquire all the possible photo/video equipment shops in singapore and none can tell me.

I have just one left

I've sold two and I have just one left. This one has a few marks. I'll sell it for $750 plus shipping. This is a steal, the head alone goes for more than this. This is a great tripod, at a great price. I accept PayPal, Money Orders and Cashiers Checks.
