Canon GL2, extras 4 sale...
Hi there,
I'm selling my Canon GL2 along with WD58H lens, Tiffen UV filter and BP-945 battery, in original boxes with all accessories. I used the GL2 to shoot a short, 3-minute film in February this year, which became an official selection of the Phoenix Film Festival. I've been extremely happy with the GL2, but being primarily a filmmaker, I'm looking to go 24P. The camera has had less than 10 tapes in it total; less than 20 hours use. I bought it in August 2002 and used it little until February when I shot the aforementioned film. Since then, it has been stored in the original box. (Software never opened.) The UV filter was placed on the lens for protection when I took it out of the box and has never been removed. The WD58H lens was bought in September 2002 and I still have original packaging for it. The battery was a Christmas gift last year. I have original receipts for the camera and lens. For photos of the camera and accessories, go to http://www.oasismedia.com/robustfilms/canon_gl2.html I prefer to sell everything in one package. Asking $2200 for all obo. Any questions or offers, please contact me at rob[at]oasismedia.com Thanks for looking and good luck! - Rob P.S. You can see the film I shot with the GL2 ("Alarmed") at http://www.oasismedia.com/robustfilms |
I purchased the camera at a store called Microcenter off of Edinger in Tustin California.
Again if anyone is interested in the camera and equipment email me directly at jrulison@hotmail.com |
Brian,
I'm thinking about selling one. I bought one used off ebay a few months ago for $340. Maybe I overpaid a bit. I do weddings and wanted to see if it would be of use to me. It works fine before the wedding but at the reception with a light on the camera, the cam is too heavy to use it. I'll probably experiment with a different stabilizer. I'm gonna be in Toledo over the 4th to visit the folks if you wanted to consider coming down to check it out or buy. |
how many hours of usage on it?
|
Jonas hasn't been back for 2 weeks now. This may be a dead deal.
|
Try e mailing him, or give him a call. I'd say he joined the board only to post the for sale.
|
Thanks Ken. I'll be able to answer questions intermittently while in Alaska, but I won't be back to ship the camera until mid August.

James, could you email me the price you are asking for your Rain Slicker? the_klenzer@hotmail.com
Thanks PS, does this mean anything to you? Red IR3 C&C, 68/4500 Angel AIR, 14" AA red/stainless Freak, KAPP 15 deg ASA, chrome bullet detent, chrome DYE volumizer, skull back plate... ? |
Adrian, which Pelican case is it?
Also, I've seen quite a few XL1's in the Buy And Sell. You should put it in there. XL1's (not s) alone usualy go for $3500-$4000cdn alone. $5900cdn sounds like a pretty reasonable price for a kit like that! PS, if you have a tripod for sale, let me know! |
Really!
Maybe I'm selling it too cheap. ;) I'll definitely check into that. Thanks. Adrian P.S. My manfrotto tripod is not for sale. Those things don't go out of style. ;) <<<-- Originally posted by Dylan Couper : Adrian, which Pelican case is it? Also, I've seen quite a few XL1's in the Buy And Sell. You should put it in there. I see you went to Angel-Owners. Yea that is my paintball life.

I used to shoot high end Cockers, until the first time I shot an Angel. Now I shoot the IR3 listed above. Like they say, Angels only suck if you can't afford one. :)
Moderator Paul Sedillo on here shoots an aftermarket 'Trix, but I don't hold it against him. Anyway, not going to hijack your thread anymore. Good luck on selling you camera! |

I,m interested in your wireless setup. Email me with the details and photo's.
Thanks, Charles |
Thanks for all the interest everyone, I've been getting tons of e-mail with questions and "deals"- but here goes-
...the camera and all the accessories are still available- I did research the Mack warranty and it's a 2-year warranty of which covers the camera completely and is an extension of the Canon warranty...all that would be needed to get any repairs done would be the Mack "card" of which I have and will gladly give to the next owner. This warranty was setup by B&H so I have great confidence it's a real value. I have quite a few extras and will gladly give everything I have for use with the GL2 to the next purchaser. I am Paypal verified (stevenyc1@aol.com) and would prefer actual NYC pickup, but Paypal would be fine. Please allow $20 extra for shipping as all the accessories make for a decent sized box. Canon GL2 $2200 (absolutely mint- 4 tapes run through it) Hope this answers any questions....as always feel free to email me. |
New gl2 for sale
Here is the deal with my camera.... i bought it about a month ago just for fun. I used it a little filming some of my friends rollerblading and just hangin out, there is really no special reason why i got the gl2 other than i know they are very nice. The problem is my car is just about dead and now need to buy a new one. Having to pay off the camera and a car is too much for me right now. So selling my camera will help me out of some debt. I have used the camera for about a total of 5 or 6 hours. I have only charged the batteries about 3 times. I have the Canon bp945 battery. a raynox wide angel snap on lense and a case i bought at best buy. I did take care of the camera and there are no problems with it eveything is mint condition. I bought it brand new, have everything that came with the camera and all the original packing. I would like to sell it for 1,800. everything included and shipped. let me know if you are interested.

Hey Steve,
Sounds like a great package and a terrific price. Just curious though...you have not had the set up too long. Why are you selling? |

====>"I found out there's now a tele-extender available for the Panasonic DVC80 and DVX100 and would like to try the Pan again this time with the extender-but can't justify having both cameras... I'm 100% satisfied with the GL2- but I had a DVX100 not too long ago and got rid of it strictly based on the limited zoom- but the form factor and large LCD were excellent- the video quality was better than my XL1S- so If i could give that model a try again with the extender I'd be really interested....I could be making a mistake but i'm adventurous and love to try new things." |
Could you email me your phone number, i'm having problems with outgoing email.

WTB: Contrast Filters
I'm learning that no can seem to get their hands on any of the Tiffen Contrast filters so if you've got one laying around you don't want, email me and I'll tell you if I'm interested.
I need 72mm but I'd consider a larger size and use a stepdown ring. Especially looking for the Ultra Contrast line (1/2, 1) and the Low Contrast line. While you're at it and you have a 14 or 16x manual lens that would fit an XL1S that you would like to give a new home to at an incredibly low price (G), let me know that too. |
I am interested just a couple of questions. Where did you get it from? Why are you selling it? How many tapes did you run through it? Do you have any pictures, if so email them to me at Shad0b0x69@aol.com

Light gels for sale
A couple of rolls of never used lighting gels I found deep in my closet while packing. 12' x 4' or 14' x '4' each. There's enough there.
One is a 3600K and another is 5600K I believe. (Orange and Blue) I think they cost me about C$60 for the two rolls. Bought them at Leo's Camera in Vancouver for a project that was later aborted, and then forgot about them. Best Offer. Hopefully in Vancouver. I also have a flourescent light fixture that I can throw in too. It's got a pro ballast in it. As I'm moving, I'd take them with me, but fear they might get damaged or torn in the move, which would be a shame. Adrian |
Rob,
I would be interested in buying your WD58H lens depending on the price. I dont know if you will sell just the lens with no camera, but I already own a GL2. I might be interested in your battery also, again depending on your price (I am on a tight budget!;-). Thanks, you can email me or post back here. |

FS: Dell Axim X5 400mhz PDA (w/wifi)
This isn't exactly video gear, but I suppose you could use it as a shot logger or something. I got it about a month ago, factory refurb, and have used it off and on to play games and do wireless site surveys. I just haven't really used it often enough to justify it's existence, and I'd really like to get a DVD burner to archive stuff off my TiVo.
The specs: Dell Axim X5 PocketPC 2002 400mhz processor 64 meg ram 48 meg rom compact flash slot secure digital slot usb cradle power adapter slip case Outlook 2000 Linksys WCF12 Compact Flash WiFi Card Everything's in great shape, no scratches or bad pixels on the screen. The PDA runs great, is plenty fast and has bunches of internal storage. I'm asking $275 for everything, shipped USPS. I'm in San Marcos, Texas, about a half hour south of Austin. Sennheiser (ME66) K6P Powering module for sale or trade for reg. K6
Hi,
I have a Sennheiser K6P powering module that is in very good condition. I would like to trade it for a K6 normal powering module or I will sell it. If you would like, I can sell it with the ME66 capsule, but a trade for a regular K6 is preferred. I accidentally bought the K6P module instead of the K6. Will take best reasonable offer. You can email me, call me (408-891-2731), or post here. If you own a K6 powering module and now want the K6P (phantom) this is your chance to get one at no cost!! The K6P is a better powering module when using phantom power. It will provide you with better sound than using phantom or battery power on a normal K6. Thanks!
