The fisheye has been sold. Thank You.

Bob Safay March 4th, 2003 11:31 AM

Ryan, dod you still have the lens???

Collis Davis, Jr. March 4th, 2003 05:49 PM

Yes,I am interested in the 3x canon wide angle lens

Ryan...Is this deja vu? I responded to an earlier ad, but I was too late.

I am coming to Chicago to shoot at the Field Museum mid-April. I don't know if you'd be able to hold the lens for another month. I know I am somewhat at a disadvantage being here on the other side of the world.

Collis

Bob Safay March 4th, 2003 08:02 PM

Ryan, I AM VERY interested, right now. Bob

XL1S

Thanks for looking. Camera has been sold!

Felix Jones March 10th, 2003 01:01 PM

Are they still available? Well I'm looking for the new one in particular.

Adrian Douglas March 10th, 2003 07:43 PM

Patrick,

YOu might have more luck if you included your location. From the fact that you stated that one of the cameras has an American warrantee then I gather you are in the States and the cameras are NTSC. These boards are quite international and this type of information is vital if you want to sell gear.

Felix,

If Patrick's cameras are NTSC, are you aware that they are not compatiable with the PAL standard used for NZ TV.

M. Raine Lillibridge March 12th, 2003 07:23 PM

I'll take offers on this camera. I've seen someone say that sony lowered the price on this camera and it's now 1,900 at B@H but I asked them to email me a quote and it was still 2,500. Anyways this is a Pal model, as yet unavailable in the states. I believe it has a higher retail than the NTSC model. I don't know why I would think it only has different software for the Pal signal. The retail in Europe is 3,500. Not sure about the asian market though.

Michael Middleton March 12th, 2003 11:11 PM

Wish it was NTSC

I'm probably going to get an (or is it "a"?) NTSC version sometime this week from B&H. They emailed me a quote for $1999 last week. I'll check it again before I order.

Good luck!

Michael

my shopping list

I thought I would post a list of stuff I am currently looking for used, in case anyone is thinking of selling some stuff, or knows someone who is.

Large pro camera bag, like the PortaBrace C2C-3.

Large Pelican case, like the 1650

2 good video tripods

Beachtek XLR adapter, or maybe a MA100.

Probably more when I remember it....

Jeff Donald March 13th, 2003 06:47 AM

The discussion was moved to Open DV forum.

Dylan Couper March 13th, 2003 09:36 PM

I read the other thread first, and was beginning to question my sanity. I was sure I posted it here...
Phew, I'm still mostly sane!

Ken Tanaka March 14th, 2003 12:03 AM

For Sale: PortaBrace Quick Draw Case for XL1/XL1S

This is PortaBrace's flip-top case, model number CC-325. For details on this case's design see PortaBrace's page.

This is very roomy case designed principally for carrying the camera and accessories around by hand or car, rather than on a plane. The entire assembled camera drops into the case (including an MA-100 or MA-200). The flip-lid design makes insertion and removal of the camera extremely...well, "quick" and easy.

This case is in like-new condition with no dirt or scuffs, and it has been stored in a smoke-free environment. It includes the legendary PortaBrace shoulder strap and the standard white balance card supplied with most PB cases.

This is an excellent opportunity to get PortaBrace quality at a very affordable price.

List price: $345
B&H price: $290
My price: $200 (US) + UPS shipping

U.S. and Canadian buyers only, please.
Payment via PayPal (preferred) or cashier's check.

If you are interested or have questions please jot me a note via email.

Ken Tanaka March 14th, 2003 12:24 AM

For Sale: Canon 14x Full Manual Lens for XL1 / XL1S

This is Canon's original manual lens for the XL1 camera, featuring fully manual focus, iris and zoom controls. This lens is actually favored by many videographers due to the fact that it's iris is controlled by a barrel ring rather than by an electronic switch on the camera body.

The lens is in absolutely pristine, like-new condition with no scrapes and no lens scratches. It has been babied throughout it's life. (You can see the actual lens on my 16x manual lens review page.)

Honestly, I had not planned to sell it. But since I use my 16x most of the time (Xmas gift) I would rather see the 14x in the hands of someone who really needs it and would put the to good use.

Included:
  • the lens
  • the lens hood
  • front lens cap
  • back mount cap
  • Canon soft-case
Original list price: $1,799
B&H price (new): $950
(while supplies last, since the lens is out of production)
My price: $800 US + UPS shipping

(U.S. and Canadian buyers only, please.)

If you're interested or have additional questions please email me.

Dylan Couper March 14th, 2003 02:41 AM

Having purchased expensive items off Ken in the past, I can vouch for his honesty as a seller. Whoever buys it from him will not be dissapointed in their purchase. If Ken says it's pristine, he means it.

Dylan Couper March 14th, 2003 02:46 AM

Ken, you have mail!

Ken Tanaka March 15th, 2003 01:05 AM

Dylan Couper March 15th, 2003 01:20 AM

Since this is your first post to this board, could you please elaborate
a bit more?

You are talking about quite expensive equipment which you want
to sell after a small amount of time. Can you please indicate why
you no longer have any interest in this equipment? Do you have
a site with pictures that shows the state of the equipment you
are selling?

A bit more information and background would be welcomed.
Thank you in advance and please post your e-mail address with
your response so that people can e-mail you when interested.

Regards,

Scott Burbank March 20th, 2003 04:44 PM

FS: Pro Duplication System

Duplicate 5 VHS tapes at a time. Five (5) professional Panasonic VCRs (AG6810 and AG6810s--weigh about 30 lbs each). One distribution amp, one system remote control (eject, rewind, stop and record functions). Here is how it works, connect your video source to the distribution amp, load blank tapes in the VCRs, and hit record on the remote control. We'll even throw in 25 Emtec/BASF 60 min. superHQ blank tapes and nearly a full case of black VHS sleeves.

Bought the system reconditioned (the distrib. amp and remote control are new) for $1400, and it works great. We used this system for one project to avoid the locally inflated cost of duplication (we saved a bundle doing it ourselves--it paid for itself and then some with the one project) and we are now downsizing our video business and sadly don't have room it.

See a picture at http://www.amarillo4sale.com/uploads/08Dec2002_copy.jpg. Email me if you're interested.

35MM up for grabs

Yes, Please forgive my ignorance as I am new this the DVinfo.net community. After going through 2 seperate shoots with the 35mm adapter, it is apparent to me that the ideal set up for this equipment is to have something along the lines of a Cooke s4 prime lens to obtain the optimum look that I am looking for. Unfortunetely, such a lens is not in my budget as of this time, so I will stay with the stadard set up on my XL-1S, and try to add my effects in post. I do not have a website set up currently, but would be happy to email pictures to anyone who may be interested. I attempted to send the item back to ZGC, but I had waited past the 30 day time to return, so thats why I am looking to sell the equipment. I can be reached at rick@peakmarketing.biz

Thanks,

Rick Cousins

Rob Lohman March 21st, 2003 10:14 AM

Thank you for clarifying that, Rick! Much appreciated. I hope you
can work a deal out with someone.

Good luck.
