Re: Lost/damaged frames
Try ClipWrap have it rewrap your files to .movs.
This has to be done from the card itself, or a complete copy of the card with all its folders and files intact.
If you just copy mts files you...

Re: AVCHD footage - copy?
Kent, that is all correct.
I usually make a folder name it describing the shoot. Then drag the whole card onto it, it makes a new folder called NoName in the top folder. After it copied I name...

Re: AVCHD footage - copy?
If you are on a mac, like me.
You may want to use ClipWrap to rewrap to .movs. Very fast and easy.
Often I just use FCPX to import into a new event. This is also very fast and convenient and...

Re: Best tripod under $2000 for FS700?
Take a look at the Miller Solo. I have 2 of them and they are light rugged and very smooth even in the extreme cold. The oldest one is more than 10 years old now and still in very good shape.

Re: fs700 and long lenses (400 2.8)
Here are photos of my rig. It is the standard 700 kit with the 15mm rail adapter, but instead of rails there is a simple adjustable angle plate that supports the lens.
If you actually use the...

Re: If only 1 lens?
The Canon 24-70 f2.8 L is the one on my 700 75% of the time.
I also use the Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS L a fair amount.And the 17-40 f4.
The kit lens is OK but slow, so the SDOF is not great. The IS...

Re: External recorder for the fs700
I really like the NanoFlash, it is light and very dependable.
I would say most of the time it is not necessary but with keying or extensive grading it makes a difference to have the 422 color...

I think you could just velcro the battery to my EX1R shoulder brace. I also use o-rings around the battery to make it rock solid.
Those batteries always worked on the EX1/3 cams if you plugged the...
