Works well (as far as I can tell) with only a few cosmetic dings ad scrapes that don't seem to impact performance. This came with my camera when I purchased it from eBay and I ended up getting a separate Manfrotto kit.

Shipping is $15 US Priority Mail (although I could probably also arrange UPS or FedEx for an additional price - and free pickup in Chicago wouldn't be a problem)

I have sold my XL2 and have a few items left over I need to sell.
1- Canon 3X Wide angle lense. The lense has always had a filter on it (though I am keeping the filter) and the glass is perfect. It comes with the front and back caps, the original bag, original box, and a Tamarac padded case. Asking $400 plus shipping and fees.
1- Firestore FS-4 40gb DTE. It works great. It comes with the mounting bracket that attaches to the XL2, the original accessories, and a carrying case. It needs a new battery. Asking $350.

Hey there!

Just set up a website and video for what it is I'm selling: SALE: XH-A1 & Letus Extreme (http://www.colinlevy.com/other/sale/xh-a1_letus.html)

Basically it's a pretty complete camera package in very good shape. I purchased a 7D about a year ago and have been using both systems side-by-side since then. To me, they're pretty much comparable--each with a different set of strengths and weaknesses. The footage actually cuts well together, with a bit of color correction. It's been nice to be able to choose one or the other based on what I'm shooting. The A1 produces nice rich images and I actually prefer its color. The fact that you can plug your external mic in directly is a *huge* plus for me, and of course for heavy motion the A1 kills-- as the 7D's rolling shutter can be problematic.

I've been really satisfied with this XH-A1 / Letus combo. Definitely takes a bit of getting used to -- the setup time can be frustrating at first-- but once you get the routine down it can be a snap to get up and running and is ultimately still a flexible system. I think the results have been well worth it-- hopefully you'll agree!
