you can get some ideas for mounting the camera and the unit here...
ZazaSlider (http://www.zazaslider.com/)

I built one from scratch, and just use a manfrotto ballhead on the carraige with quick release, and use another quick release plate mounted to the base of the slider and attach that to my libec tripod. It works great but just dont put a real heavy camera on it. I use a HMC150 camera with it and no problems of tilting.

I bought this backpack about a year ago to carry on airplanes for a project on the other side of the country. Now that the project is done, the pack has seen little use.

The backpack is in excellent condition. It easily holds camcorders like the PD170, HMC150, HMC40, XH A1, Z1U, etc. It has a laptop compartment with removable neoprene pouch, and the movable interior dividers allow you to pack additional equipment and accessories. Also included is a Petrol camera rain cover with lens hood.

Asking price is $80 plus shipping. Please e-mail me through this site with any questions or to see larger photos.

Thanks for looking.

I bought this for my DVX100.. I no longer have the camera, so no need for the housing. The DVX100 fit in there with plenty of room... 175 (plus S&H).
I'll also consider trade for a decent shotgun mic...

I used this camera sparingly for the last year and a half as a back up camera. Like many, headed the route of DSLR now. The camera is in perfect working order with clean heads and a full cycling battery. The bundle comes with camera (and all included accessories) and a wide angle adaptor (cheap version). Asking $550 but willing to negotiate. Please message me with any questions or offers. Thanks for looking.

I used this tripod as my main mount for an XH-A1. With that long gone I am finding very little need for this very sturdy tripod. The mid-level spreaders are missing an knob on the top but they seem to work fine. If interested, please make me an offer. Any offers or questions please email me.

Hi. I have a Sony D-8 and/or a Hi-8 camera that you could rent. The D-8 has firewire, just never used it to import regular Hi-8 tape, I always used the Y/C in from the Hi-8 camera. Up to you, let me know if interested.

The Pegasus Carbon based Linear Tracking system is a truly revolutionary camera slider system. Designed for loads under 15lbs, the parts can be re-tasked as a super compact table dolly, overhead tracking system, cable system, and the conventional linear sliding system.
Using 100% steel ball bearings, the system uses 100cm (39in) 15mm carbon rails, mounted in a tool-free system that offers amazing flexibility, strength and compactness for travel. The entire system is under 5lbs and can be disassembled for travel in about 60 seconds with no tools.

Everything is great condition. SALE: $799 + $40 (Shipping)

my zip code is 07307... please refer to your preferred shippers website for pricing and you can get package info i.e.weight from the bhphoto listing for steadicam pilot vlb.

btw, the steadistand included is the original black model... not the c-stand... and all the original bits, i.e. weights, hex key,... are included.

the video cable that feeds the sled monitor from the camera was modifed to my ex3. if you're going to fly a different camera, you may have to buy a video cable at a nominal cost power cable from the vl battery to power the camera was a custom cable that a friend made for me due to the sony proprietary power connector on the ex3... so you may have to buy a new power cable for your specific camera as well if you want to power the camera via the sled battery.

I have two 32 GB 400x CF cards (by Transcend) that I want to sell. The cards are only a few months old and in great condition but I needed something a bit bigger.

Here is a link to B&H where I bought them Transcend 400x CompactFlash 32GB Memory Card TS32GCF400 B&H

Asking $65 each, or $120 for the pair. Buyer pays shipping (which shouldn't be much) considering how small they are.

Does it have a battery mount?

Just an FYI. I just got off the phone with Manhattan and if you want to use their battery plates for Sony/Canon/Panasonic battereis for power you will need to send the monitor in to them so they can mount the battery plate properly.
This is an older model and the current battery plates that Manhattan sells do not fit directly on the HD109A. Requires some internal mods.

You can, however, use their Tekkeon batteries which mount via Velcro.

Shawn,

The rig fly's nicely... it is definitely at the max weight limit. A ex1 would give me a little more latitude in the weight category. A hdslr would give even more latitude. Knowing what i know now, i think if your are going to be a steadicam operator you should get the biggest rig money can buy so you can use a wider variety of camera's. I personally never imagined flying anything heavier then an x3 until after I bought the pilot.

This is an actual picture of my ex3 set up on a steadistand in the basement of dvinfo member Dave Gish.
We used to practice flying the rigs together and record each other. The arm was fully loaded down with very little if any on the adjustment screw. Also the monitor and camera are powered by the v-lock battery
