Adam Burtle March 15th, 2004, 02:41 PM My business partner has been talking a lot lately about buying a GL2.. but he is cheap, and in the past i've owned a GL1 which served us well. I'm at work now, but will show him this post tonight and see if he isnt interested in the GL1. So.. *dibs!* hehe. ;)
Glen Elliott March 15th, 2004, 02:44 PM Thanks, ask him if he'd like me to post pics of the camera similar to how I did in this post: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22341
Michael Richard March 15th, 2004, 05:16 PM Looking to sell this GL-1.
Excellent condition. I really haven't used it much. I'd say less than 40 hours.

Mark Argerake March 15th, 2004, 06:35 PM Hey Kris -
I might be selling mine, but I'm not sure what you mean by 'reasonable price.' It's practically new, only used on a two weekend shoot.
Dylan Couper March 15th, 2004, 09:11 PM For the content, it would be cheap at twice the price. I'm currently reading it, and so far two big thumbs up.
John Lee March 16th, 2004, 11:02 AM Hello,
I'm looking to buy the following items:
Two UHF wireless lav. mics
Boom Pole
Boom mic
MA-200 or an MA-100
Decent Prosumer (under $1200) Lighting Kit
And a shock mount...
If anyone is selling any of these items, or has a recommendation for where I can find some of these products used and at a decent discount, please let me know.
I'm looking to spend around $3000 on all of this equipment, if anyone has a package deal they'd like to offer.
Ray Saavedra March 16th, 2004, 03:12 PM I forgot to mention that it also comes with Tiffen Video Essential Filter Kit(Clear, UV & Circular Polarizer) and Hoya 82B filter. I have pictures of what I'm selling. Email me if you want me to send you a copy.
Thanks,
Ray
Nick Hiltgen March 16th, 2004, 03:14 PM Hey john I'm about to split up my package of items If you're interested I have 2 lowel lights with stands in a case and some gels extra bulbs etc. Also an Omni light and bogen stand for it (lighter sturdier larger then the lowel equivalent) In addition I have an ma200 and an ME66(boom MIC) with power and a descent shock mount and pretty crummy boom pole, all of this has barely been used. IF you're interested let me know and I'll try to come up with a good price for us both to live with.
John Garcia March 16th, 2004, 03:35 PM im still interested...please have him contact me asap...
admin@john-garcia.com
or pm me :)
Philip Boyer March 16th, 2004, 05:00 PM I didn't see an email address in your profile, but I'd be interested in seeing the pictures. You can send them to:
pboyer @ dimasys . com
Also, how much time is left on the warranty?
Thanks
Adam Burtle March 16th, 2004, 05:38 PM I spoke to him and he is interested in the camera, although I guess the going rate for bare bones (meaning no lens converters, camera bags, etc) is somewhat lower then $1200.
He asked if you could drop him a call. 702-893-2739. [edit --> his name is Nick ]
(If you can't, let me know, and i'll post his email)
Adam Burtle March 16th, 2004, 05:40 PM Drop a call and ask for Nick.. 702.893.2739
Ray Saavedra March 16th, 2004, 06:18 PM The 1 year warranty from Panasonic just ended. There's still the 4 year warranty from MACK. The pics should be on it's way.
My email is junray@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Ray
Robbie Smolinsky March 16th, 2004, 07:13 PM Hi Everyone,
Well, I am still on the market for a prosumer camcorder (preferably a Sony VX2000/2100 or Panny DVX100). So I have a laptop for sale, or trade + cash for such a camera. Here are the laptop specs:
Sager 5660 (Alienware Area 51m) Laptop:
2.4 GHZ Pentium 4 DESKTOP Processor (upgradeable to 3.06ghz)
1GB of DDR SDRAM (2x512mb sticks!)
Radeon Mobility 9000 64meg
8x DVD, 16x10x24 CD-R/W
15" SXGA+ 1400x1050 (no dead pixels, great shape!)
40GB 5400rpm Hard Drive, w/ 16MB Cache
Floppy Drive
4 USB 2.0 Ports, Firewire, PCMCIA, 56k modem, 10/100 LAN, etc
Battery
Instruction Manual
Drivers and Programs CDs
AC Adapter/Charger
Laptop Bag
It's in very good condition all around and everything works great. There are no dead pixels or scratches on the LCD screen. As you can see from the spec this is a serious machine, and is used a desktop replacement. Many people have never heard of Sager, but many have heard of Alienware, and in fact Alienware and Sager get their components from the same manufacturer. If you look around for the Alienware Area 51m, you will see its the same as the Sager 5660.
I'm sure this system would be great for video editing, however since I am cameraless (which is the ONLY reason I'm letting this go) I haven't used it for such a purpose, so no guarantees, but this is far beyond what I have heard many people edit on. I should also note that the processor is a desktop model, and this thing is built to preform as a desktop replacement, not a watered down mobile unit.
I have posted this on Ebay three times consecutively, and each time I get a non-paying bidder, so thats why I'm bringing it here. The price is set at $1100 (or a trade value of $1100 against your camera). So please email me or post here if you have any questions! Thanks!!
Robbie

Bob Fitzgibbon March 19th, 2004, 06:29 PM How many hours on camera? How was it used and was it used as a deck?
Bob
Bob Fitzgibbon March 19th, 2004, 06:43 PM B & H price for your camera brand new is $2229.
Why do you want to sell. and what are you realistically looking to get. The case and filter add little. most of us have all of that.
Bob
Moises Crespo March 19th, 2004, 09:13 PM Only used 7hrs, not used as deck have one of those.
Torrey C. Harris March 19th, 2004, 11:08 PM kata case and ma -300 add very little to package? 2 months old with only 30 minute tape ran through it. I have an xl-1s with manual lens and sony pd -150, gl-2 is the newst of the three, building a new house.
Torrey
