Sam Forbes November 26th, 2004, 10:56 AM Still available. This would make someone a nice package. Camera looks and functions brand new. Nori Wentworth November 26th, 2004, 11:57 AM Well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Maybe this is some sort of message saying that I shouldn't sell my gear. Can anybody suggest another way of me selling my gear? It would be cool if I could sell it to someone locally, but there doesn't seem to be anyone around this area that is making there own "professional" quality movies. -Nori Keith Loh November 26th, 2004, 12:03 PM Nori, I listed my XL1S in the Buy and Sell for a couple issues with only one incoherent query. Then I listed it in Craigslist http://vancouver.craigslist.org/ ('http://vancouver.craigslist.org/') and got it sold in a week. Previous to all that I had listed it in DVInfo for about two months and almost got it sold to a buyer who went AWOL. Just my experience. The GL2 contains 380,000 effective pixels per CCD vs. 250,000 pixels per CCD in the GL1, but I don't want to turn anyone away from buying your camrea, because it is a great camera. Andrew Petrie November 27th, 2004, 09:54 PM still available Josh Catone November 27th, 2004, 10:45 PM Ah, thanks. I didn't mean to mislead anyone! I was just going by what the Sony rep told me (I figured he'd know his stuff ;)... then again he does work for Sony and not Canon...). He must have meant that the image sensor size is the same (1/4") but the sensor resolution is indeed different. The GL1 still takes a great picture, though. :) For a comparison, specs are here: GL1: http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Canon_GL1/4507-6500_16-30580925.html?tag=dir GL2: http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Canon_GL2/4507-6500_16-20224838.html?tag=tab As you can see, they are almost an identical camera. Very few changes were made between the GL1 and GL2.
