Would anyone happen to have one they are willing to sell? Or is ebay my only option?

Thanks,

Hi Stephen

I have a VX1000 package to sell. I put it up on this site on Nov 7. I have had several expressions of interest but as of the moment nothing has been finalised. I can send you pictures to go along with the description. You can find the original offer and post a reply there, or e-mail to me.

Thanks
Martin

NOT academic, 15-1 compression version.
REAL THING?
Or is anybody selling edit system with Xpress DV or Pro already on system?
Thanks

I got a GL2 I'm hoping to sale. I have had it only long enough to learn how to use it--just over a month. I have filmed 60 minutes worth of video on it in my apartment. It comes with a transferable 4-year mack warranty, the canon wide angle lens, a professional tripod, and everything else. I cashed in the $250 warranty already. I am going to try and sell it on this site or maybe ebay. It doesn't even have a scratch and is a wonderful camera. It hurts me to sell it but just decided to go to Ecuador. I will soon post it on this site.

Take care,
Brad

You don't need mojo to capture 15:1. Just select 15:1 in the resolution box when you capture.

Are you looking for a used unit? Otherwise, several turnkey companies sell preconfigured editing stations. DVLine.com is a good place to start.

Almost new GL2, WD-58H, 4 yr warranty, tripod
Price: $2090

Canon GL2 mini-DV
RepairTech transferable 4 Year extended warranty
Canon WD-58H .7x Wide-converter for GL2
Velbon SEF-3 Tripod with PH-22 Head

The camera was bought August 18, 2004 and used for less than one tape filmed in my house. The camera has no scratches or scuffs marks and comes with original box, manual, and all accessories in perfect condition, and receipts. The Canon WD-58H comes with hood, cap, and was bought in September. The warranty is transferable and good for 3 years and 8 more months. The tripod is used but of excellent quality, sturdy and smooth.

I am going to move to a remote part of Ecuador and am choosing to focus on digital photography and that is why I am selling the GL2. Pictures of the equipment can be forwarded to anyone interested in purchasing. I would be very willing to make the transaction through any means the purchaser thought safe and prudent. I live in Albuquerque, NM. bradleydehaan@yahoo.com

What would the total be with the mod, or is that not an option?

Mike Favazza
December 9th, 2004, 11:12 AM
Richard, I don't think I was clear in my question.
I don't want to capture 15-1 compression footage.
The academic version apparently ONLY uses 15-1.

I want the real version Xpress Pro that captures
at a much higher quality.

Richard Alvarez
December 9th, 2004, 11:58 AM
That doesn't sound right to me. I am pretty sure the academic version is full featured, just doesn't come with the extra software like Boris and Sorenson.

Mike Favazza
December 9th, 2004, 12:29 PM
Wow. I've really been out to lunch. I though Avid protected it's full-version product by allowing only low-quality compression on it's academic software.
Are you positive, Richard? Where can we get a definite answer to that question? Thanks for helping me understand this.

Richard Alvarez
December 9th, 2004, 01:46 PM
Go to the website www.avid.com and look up the products section. Then select "educational". I'm pretty sure you get a full fledged product, at reduced cost, with NO printed manuals, and none of the third party software that comes with it. (Boris, Sorenson Squeeze, etc.)

Of course, you have to be a bone-fide student or teacher.

Richard Alvarez

Here's the info from the website.

Students and Faculty
Students and faculty looking for copies of Avid Xpress Pro may purchase the software for USD$295 MSRP. Avid Xpress Pro for Students/Faculty includes:

Avid Xpress Pro software for both Mac OS X and Windows XP Professional
Avid Xpress Pro online documentation and product tutorial DVD
Digidesign® AudioSuite, Avid Total Conform, Avid FilmMaker's Toolkit, Image Stabilization, IllusionFX, and Avid Pan & Zoom
One license key (USB dongle)
No third-party software is included
To order Avid Xpress Pro for Students/Faculty, call 800-874-9001.

Note: Avid Xpress Pro for Students/Faculty may be used for personal use or for educational purposes only and not for commercial or institutional use.

Upgrades
With this new aggressive education pricing for the more powerful Avid Xpress Pro software, Avid Xpress DV v3.5 EduPack and StudentPack are no longer available from Avid. Existing Avid Xpress DV 2.x and 3.x EduPack or StudentPack customers can upgrade to Avid Xpress Pro for Education for only USD$99 MRSP. These upgrades will only upgrade a previous Avid Xpress DV EduPack or Avid Xpress DV StudentPack. They will not upgrade a prior retail version of Avid Xpress DV.

Yes, when I was a student I purchased the Educational Version. It is the exact same thing except there are no extra software nor any hardcopy books. These books can be obtained however from the CD in PDF format.

Thanks,

Thats a bit more than what I'm looking to spend, or have right now. Maybe in a month or two I'll be able to scrape up enough money for it. Thanks though.

Hi all, I recently had my own video business for 4 years, but accepted a fulltime job with one of my clients... so I am no longer doing my own thing and after a year at the new job, I have decided to try and sell some items that are just gathering dust... everything is in good working order... most items are in excellent condition, some may have a scratch or two, but still work perfectly... I tried to price everything fairly... most well under half price... much of the stuff is lightly used and taken care of well. I will take a check or cashier's check/money order, but it would need to clear before I could send any equipment paypal will work too... OK here's the list:

1. Rader Video camera remote control system CR/2000... LINK: http://www.radervideo.com/index.htm
Used just 3 times... works great for controlling a camera near the Bride and Groom... $600.00 (paid $1,600 new)

2. Bogen Tripod: LINK: http://www.tristatecamera.com/LookAtAll-99lm2lx8-BOG3066-2-00570183-0-store.php3.html 3066 Cine Fluid Head with legs
Very good condition comes with soft case: $250.00 (paid $860)

3. 1 VariZoom camera controller with user's guide: LINK: http://www.varizoom.com/controllers/prol.php... Great product in mint condition: $150.00 (paid $400)

4. Panasonic CT-S1390Y 13" color video monitor... includes owner's manual... Works great... $150.00 (paid $450 new)

5. Panasonic AG DV2000 DV/MiniDV (plays and records to both large AND mini DV tapes) editing deck/VTR with owner's manual: $1,200... (paid $2,600 new)... awesome deck... Great condition... low hours... Link: http://pro-tape.com/panasonic/agdv2000.html

6. Sennheiser ME66 shotgun microphone with K6 power module... excellent condition great mic... $300 (paid $750 new) LINK: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=search&Q=&b=277&shs=ME+66&ci=1&ac=&Submit.x=15&Submit.y=8

7. 7" LCD monitor with battery supply: Like new... hardly used $75 (paid $325 new)

8. SONY WV-DR7 DV/MiniDV/DVCAM/VHS player recorder (imported from Japan)... Comes with all manuals and Japanese to English translation... firewire record to DV/DVCAM... BEST FEATURE: Dub from DV/DVCAM to VHS or VHS to DV/DVCAM!... This deck is in Japanese, so it's not for everyone... I used it as my primary capture/output/dubbing deck... has worked and still works flawlessly, but initial setup can be frustrating because of learning the buttons (in Japanese), but it's a great deck. I wanted a VHS/DV deck from Sony and at the time this was al that was available.... $800 (paid $3,000 new!!!).

All these items are 1st come 1st served, but priority will be given to those ordering multiple items... Thanks!

Like New Battery, Used. Used about 3 maybe 4 times with the Canon GL2. I had issues with the GL2 and already sold it, but still have this battery. I was thinking of $25, including USPS Priority Mail.

If interested, reply to this thread or post an email to me.

I can accept Paypal, credit cards via Paypal, or money order.

Thanks, Brian

P.S. I will respond to this thread in the event it is sold to let everyone know.

Ok, i need to sell it this week, so i'll let it go for $2000, or the best offer. Please email me if you have any questions whatsoever.

We haven't started shipping the RS system so it's not an option, i'm just selling the camera with everything that it comes from factory, plus the new zoom controller.
