Use: very little- only shot a 30 minute tape in 9/02 after setting up menus/got sick and then shot a 15 minute tape about 6 to 8 months later. forgot most menu settings (in Japanese) and have not used since. Original cost: $1925.00 US Asking: $1100.00 US I can ship anywhere in US for $25-30. will ship in all original boxes. include 2 new unwrapped sony tapes (i purchased a 3 pack and total of 45 minutes only used 1 tape). please contact me at harveyv@sbcglobal.net or call 972.380.0424 dallas, texas. also will provide copy of english version of pana operationg instruction booklet (54pp.) and 3 page english translation of menu setups. all batteries charged and camera works perfectly. Young Lee May 4th, 2004, 11:48 PM That's a bit expensive, IMO. Frank Granovski May 5th, 2004, 01:05 AM Make him a fair offer. :-)) Bill DePalma May 5th, 2004, 08:52 AM Paul- I have the Panasonic version of this deck, the AG 2500 for sale if you are interested. Asking 1300.00, 9 drum hours on the unit. Virtually new. thanks Bill Paul Figgiani May 5th, 2004, 11:48 AM thanks for your response. I can't seem to find any specs on this unit on the web. However, I found that it is available New for $1500. can you tell me more about it...is it very similar to the Sony? thanks. paul. Bill DePalma May 5th, 2004, 12:00 PM Paul- It is in all respects like the dsr-11. It accepts both mini and large dv tapes, plays both dv and dvcam and records to DV. It has fire in/out, s and composite and has 422 deck control that dsr11 lacks. It also has vu meters on the front where the 11 does not. It comes with a stand to display the unit vertically. Check out the panasonic website for all details. I paid 1500.00 for it. thanks Bill Tom Christensen May 5th, 2004, 04:50 PM Is the camera still for sale? tom@arcsand.com Yohann Kouam May 5th, 2004, 06:04 PM looking for death lens or raynox dcr 180 pro at reasonable price. peace Mike Meyerson May 5th, 2004, 06:42 PM The dsr-11 will record in DVCAM or DV mode and works in PAL or NTSC. The panasonic wont record DVCAM and is NTSC only (as far as I know). Matt Stahley May 5th, 2004, 07:14 PM The Raynox is reasonable brand new.Probably 1/5th the price of a Century death. Bill DePalma May 5th, 2004, 09:49 PM Paul- I stated that it will play both dv & dvcam and record to dv. And it will handle both pal and ntsc. thanks Bill Yohann Kouam May 6th, 2004, 12:35 AM totally but if i can get it secondhand that would be even more reasonable! Bill Hardy May 6th, 2004, 05:57 AM Whats the difference between the MX5000 and the PVDV953 brand new for $1079 U.S. with english menu? Is the 5000 that much better? Mike Meyerson May 6th, 2004, 08:16 AM Bill...I wasn't trying to say that you were lying or anything like that, I was just giving more info on the dsr-11. Bill DePalma May 6th, 2004, 10:48 AM Mike- your input is welcome but your information is incorrect , the panasonic handles both pal & ntsc, and I did state that it does not record to dvcam but will play back both formats. I think I tried to be clear about the differences in the 2 units. If one needs the ability to record to DVCAM then the DSR-11 is the deck to buy. thanks Bill Joel Ruggiero May 6th, 2004, 10:57 AM i got one for sale 450 check out pics here http://forums.skateperception.com/index.php?showtopic=314&st=25 catch me on aim shad0b0x69 or email me at shad0b0x69@aol.com Frank Granovski May 6th, 2004, 03:04 PM The difference? The skin tone and the ability to use the all-weather housing. So some knobs and dials may be slightly different. John Kennedy May 6th, 2004, 11:26 PM The english v japanese labels... :) John Kennedy May 6th, 2004, 11:28 PM I think Alan was saying a month or so ago that the mx5000 could be had for cheaper than that... but its all about the exchange rate...
