Matt Davis October 26th, 2004, 11:45 PM I'm interested in purchasing these items. I'm listed as mdavis4 on ebay if you can check that out. I just emailed you a note to that affect (or is it effect?).
Anyway, I own a canon optura xi and have been wanting a light and the mic for some time. I have the wideangle lens that canon makes and am quite pleased with it. I shoot mainly family home videos in widescreen.
I have a two year old that is quite fun to tape right now.

All tips will be appreiciated.
Thanks!

Cam Wood October 29th, 2004, 07:27 PM Hi Emilio,
I just came across your posting for your GL2, and I am quite interested at this time in purchasing this Canon model. Could you please post some info re your camera (e.g., accessories, hours of usage...) including your asking price?
I am a resident of Seoul, Korea. Options from my side are payment in one of three major credit cards, or a wire transfer of funds.
On another note, I linked onto your URL and also pasted it into my address bar; however, I was unable to access your web site. Is your site still operational?
Regards,
Cameron Wood

Emilio Olivares October 31st, 2004, 05:37 PM Hello Cam,
Thanks for being interested. Unfortunately I took my site down, that's why I'm selling my gear. It was my business site, I use to do weddings, but ever since I got married I have less and less time to anything.
Anyway, I'll send you the pictures and information via e-mail. If you have any other questions please ask.

Devin Doyle October 31st, 2004, 09:32 PM I've decided to sell my equipment in order to raise money for an upgrade. I figure the board users here would benefit the most from such an offer, so I posted here first. Included in this package is:
1 Canon GL1 w/ lens cap & lens hood
1 WD-58h (includes lens hood, pouch, front/rear lens caps)
Filters (1 Canon UV filter, 1 Crystal Vision UV filter, 1 Crystal Vision Polarizer, 1 Crystal Vision warming filter, & 1 Nisha +10 macro lens)
1 BP-915 battery w/ cover
2 BP-945 batteries
1 CA-910 battery charger
1 DC -905 adapter to run the camera off of the charger
1 set of RCA to mini-plug cords for output from the camera
1 WL-D73 remote for the camera
1 XLR to mini-plug 1/8" adapter
1 Kata CBP-2 back-pack bag w/ rain slicker and fully modular, adjustable shelving system
I've treated all of my equipment like it was my baby. Every piece of equipment is like new, with minimal wear. All optics are unscratched and free from specks and knicks. As soon as the camera was purchased I put on a UV filter and have rarely removed it. I've used this camera mainly as a capture/record deck and it has seen under 20 hours in the field. I'm asking $1500 or best offer. Pictures can be found here:

Thanks for looking, please email me (devin_doyle@hotmail.com) with inquiries and offers!
Chris Hurd November 1st, 2004, 12:06 PM Howdy from Texas,
A good friend of mine who is a cinematographer in Brooklyn is offering a 14x manual lens for sale. He is not a member here (he is a lurker but is far too busy to post) and I've known him personally for several years, so I've agreed to post this item for him. Contact me by private email if you're ready to buy, and I'll put you in touch with him.
This is the black 14x manual lens for the Canon XL1 / XL1S / XL2. It's in demand because it's the only XL lens equipped with an analog manual iris ring. If you've wanted one of these hard-to-find discontinued lenses, now is your chance.
Lens, body caps and lens bag incl. Price is $800 firm and available to U.S. buyers only. Payment must be in the form of a cashier's check or similar bank-issued instrument. Shoot me an email if you want this thing.
Heath McKnight November 1st, 2004, 12:40 PM I'm looking to sell my iBook G3 800 mhz, CD-Rom drive, 640 mb RAM, 30 gb hard drive, Panther, and a free case to put it in. I bought it just over 6 months ago, so there's still some time left in warranty. Software includes iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto, AppleWorks and the other items that come with an iBook G3. Also, you can re-boot in OS 9.
Asking price: $700 plus shipping.
Serious buyers, please email me privately at hmcknight@mac.com.
Thanks,
heath mcknight

Sean Lowrey November 1st, 2004, 10:59 PM No one? Is this a crappy camera?
Murad Toor November 1st, 2004, 11:20 PM I'm selling a DVX-100 for $2500. It has 37 hours on its meter and one small blemish on the outside of its LCD flip out screen. This is a DVX-100, not a DVX-100A. It is NTSC.
You can buy this camera PLUS the 16:9 optical anamorphic adapter Chuck Ferris is offering here:
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33995
... AND THEN you'd have a true 16:9 24P camera for less money than if you bought a new DVX-100A by itself. (Today's B&H price is $3499).
This camera was mostly used on AC power, so its battery has about 5 or 10 charge cycles on it. Its original owner, my friend Brad, used it to shoot one feature length movie and a number of small projects. I'm selling / trading it on his behalf.
This camera has been fed only Panasonic MQ tapes its whole life. The Panasonic shoulder strap and the original box have been discarded. The camera comes with a Quantaray hard case as well as the owner's manual, DC coupler, charger, battery, wireless remote and a couple of Panasonic MQ miniDV tapes.
Acceptable trades include any of the following used computers:
-- a dual 2.5GHz G5 with stock RAM
-- dual 2.0GHz G5 with 4GB RAM and at least a Radeon 9600
-- a dual 1.8GHz G5 with at least 4GB RAM and a Radeon 9800 256MB or nVidia 6800
-- a 17" PowerBook with 128MB VRAM.
I will entertain any other reasonable offers, but I am not interested in any WinTel/AMD equipment. Other offers would have to be pretty close variations on the computers listed above. For example, I'd have to give some thought to an offer of a single-processor 1.8GHz PCI-X G5 with 6GB RAM and a Radeon 9800 Mac Special Edition., or a stock 1.6/1.8 single with a 23" Apple Cinema Display.
Payment should be by postal money order or a cashier's check issued by a bank that has a Chicago area branch. The 3% Paypal commission is expensive so that's not a possibility on this item.
References and pictures are available upon request. I have purchased an item from another DV Info Net community member, a very nice Bogen 503, and I have 100% feedback on eBay, score of 64.
Thank you.
Jay Alipit November 1st, 2004, 11:58 PM Accidently purchased 2 copies from Apple. So this is completely unopened and in the original shipping box from Apple. This is an academic version which I use also on side jobs professionally. As far as I know there is little to no difference between the full and academic version with the exception of a more thorough user manual. I find this software to be intuitive as it blends seamlessly with FCP HD, etc... great all around titling and motion graphics software.
Selling for $190. Was purchased for $199. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts. Can ship as per your instructions.
Thanks!
Brendan Regan November 2nd, 2004, 12:10 AM Hey,
just to let you know that with the academic version it is the same exact version. The only difference is that you cannot use the academic version on projects in which you are making money off of. It is released strictly for learning the software. So just watch your ass and make sure they dont catch you.
Dennis Sladek November 2nd, 2004, 02:00 AM This is the $50 Tips & Tricks 2 Disc set for PPro 1.5 by Total Training.

Tommy Haupfear November 2nd, 2004, 06:50 AM Great camera Sean but as the TRV70 was being phased out it was going brand new for $699 at reputable online retailers. I had three friends purchase at the $699 price and they all love it.
Hope this helps.
Sean Lowrey November 2nd, 2004, 07:51 AM Tommy thanks for the clarification. I see maybe I should just keep it. The extended warranty I would hope, should make up for the price difference.
Allan Liu November 2nd, 2004, 04:54 PM How about 80. PayPal, including shipping to NY, USA?

Charles Papert November 4th, 2004, 03:22 PM Hi gang:
I'm shooting a feature later this month which will require a few flashbacks to be shot on a 80's era video camera. I'm looking for a tube camera (remember Saticon and Newvicon??!!), presumably a 2-piece VHS system, although an early tube camcorder would be OK also. It needs to be functional, i.e. it can record picture (sound is not a concern), and the tube shouldn't have burns on it. I'm definitely looking for a consumer one-tube camera, not a broadcast type camera from that era.
We are looking to achieve that smearing and trailing around the highlights look that modern cameras (thankfully) don't suffer from anymore.
If anyone has one lying around that they want to sell cheap, or even just rent for a week, please let me know as soon possible.

Holly Miller November 4th, 2004, 04:39 PM Tony, I'm sure that's around the price they were selling for the whole group. I will double check with Kevin at the first chance I get. He is wrapping a music video tomorrow, so in between now and then I will most likely have an answer for you.
Lorinda Norton November 4th, 2004, 06:50 PM Hi Charles,
Amazingly enough, I'm looking at a Magnavox Newvicon right now. I have no idea if it works or not, but the last time I used it (1984) it worked fine. :)
You pay the shipping and it's yours. It's kinda heavy because of the power supply (other piece) and the long cable.
Lorinda Norton November 4th, 2004, 07:50 PM If you're still looking, let me know and I'll make sure it still works tomorrow morning. Went to check it out tonight but couldn't find a mini-to-rca adapter for the video-to-vcr cable. Sorry.
Besides the 7' cable from the camera and the 10' from the power supply, it's got two extra lengths--33' and 20'. I could send them or not, whatever you wanted.
David Bermejo November 4th, 2004, 07:58 PM Does anyone have any old equipment that you don't want anymore?
Any Full Size VHS Shouldermount cameras or other kinds? Any old tripods?
Any other equipment that you just don't need anymore?
I am just trying to make my own little business.
Thanks guys,
David Bermejo
