it is not sure that the price of the JVC will drop.
it is totally possible that the big marketing done by Sony will push people to ask why not, they could switch to HD as well. But then they do as everyone, they are looking for a cheap HD camera and guess what ? It is a JVC !
It is even possible that the HD1 get a boost thanks to sony.
You should wat at least until november, just before Xmas, lots of people will be looking for a miracle.

Just an addition to the previous...I found the large eyecup and shoulder strap...Also if you would like to purchase the camera separately from the lens, it would be $1600 for the camera and $150 for the lens. Thank you.

After rereading my original post it seems that I didn't actually list the conditions of each item. I'll sum it up:

Camera and tripod - about 15 hours of use
Additional batteries - charged maybe 3 times
Frezzi light and softbox - tested only
Battery pack for light - tested only
MA-100 - used once about 2 hours
Battery Charger(allows dual battery usage) - used about 2 hours

So everything is in like new state

The camera is in perfect working condition. There are minor cosmetic blemishes, including a scratch (not deep) on the top exterior of the viewfinder assembly (not on glass) that does not affect functionality. You can see from the photos I could barely get it to register in the photos. Just want to mention it in the interest of full disclosure.

I'm looking for a broken small sized mini dv camcorder. By broken i mean, cracked lens, busted LCD screen, zoom button fell in the river, that sort of thing. I'm going to be attaching a helmet camera to it, so it just has to power up and accept input from a helmet camera. And hopefully be small enough to fit into a jacket pocket. Lawrence, I also have a V16 with all accessories/lowmode/LCD if this one does not.

With either V16 package, I would think shipping 60+ lbs would cost a bit to the UK. I paid $50 for domestic ground shipping alone.

I'm a newbie with video, how hard would it be for me to work with PAL? Are there programs that will help me convert it to NTSC? Also what model is the camera, not all JVC's allow AV input. Thanks.
